National Citizen Service

Earlsbrook Consulting was commissioned to develop a detailed place-based approach for NCS to inform its new localities strategy.  This included: providing strategic leadership of NCS’s support of Opportunity Areas, particularly through its Innovation Fund; providing expert insight to support the development of an effective localities-based approach; providing expert advice in respect of inclusion and diversity issues and in reaching ‘hard to reach’ communities; and, providing expert insight to support the development and management of key strategic partnerships.  The localities strategy underpinned the ‘NCS 2.0’ development with its significant new commitment to community engagement.

CareTech Foundation

Earlsbrook Consulting was engaged by CareTech plc to develop the strategic framework and operating model for the establishment of its exciting new charitable foundation, including its governance, focus and resourcing requirements. Earlsbrook Consulting then provided interim CEO services to launch the new Foundation, securing significant media coverage and stakeholder buy-in for the Foundation’s innovative approach to tackling key social issues in the UK and overseas.

Lloyd’s of London

Earlsbrook Consulting was engaged to work with Lloyd’s to establish an appropriate
charitable structure for a new Lloyd’s Foundation, appropriately preserving the significant heritage of the existing four charities connected to Lloyd’s.

Working with key staff and stakeholders, the assignment encompassed:

– Establishing a clear vision and mission for the Foundation, including how
the existing charities would best fit within this new arrangements.
– Advising on appropriate governance arrangements

– Design of new staffing and resourcing structures for the new charitable
arrangements and supporting their implementation.

Consideration of the appropriate relationship and reporting lines between the Foundation and Lloyd’s.

Mckenzie Delis Foundation

Earlsbrook Consulting was engaged to advise on establishing an appropriate charitable structure for the work of the McKenzie-Delis Review to promote understanding of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion issues in the workplace and how best to encourage significant improvements on these important issues.

Earlsbrook Consulting worked with trustees to put in place all requirements for successful Charity Commission registration and launch of the Foundation.

The Sleep Charity

Earlsbrook Consulting was commissioned to support this award-winning charity through its acquisition of The Sleep Council.  We delivered this merger of a private sector-led initiative into the charity on time and to budget.  In addition, we supported the trustees and management to develop a new Strategic Plan, Business Plan and Theory of Change for the newly-enlarged charity as well as advising on governance changes to underpin the charity’s long-term growth.

Careers & Enterprise Company

Through Earlsbrook Consulting Limited, Jonathan Freeman served as the Senior Mentoring Adviser to the Careers and Enterprise Company, the Government-backed organisation that exists to join the dots in careers and enterprise provision across England. Jonathan advised the Company on its mentoring campaign strategy following the announcement in June 2016 of a £12m investment fund created to deliver 25,000 additional employer mentoring relationships to help young people at greatest risk of disengaging from education and to roll out a national employer mentoring campaign.

The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators

Earlsbrook Consulting was engaged to develop a mentor training programme to support the professional development of CIArb’s members and encourage recruitment and retention across the sector.  Earlsbrook Consulting Limited developed and delivered a comprehensive multi-platform training package as well as back-end systems by which to deliver this international peer mentoring programme to support CIArb’s membership offer and commitment to training and diversity.

The Church of England Foundation for Educational Leadership

Earlsbrook Consulting supported this exciting new Foundation on the development  of its Evaluation Strategy and its Strategic Plan, including a new Theory of Change to focus its efforts.
